Hi There, Okay well I've gone through the security settings to take ownership of a file but it has not worked... Heres my story. I had Backed up all my old music and pictures from my old computer which ran on XP to an external harddrive. Now when I try to open that file on Windows 7, it says i need special permissions to open those files so i did what I could to take ownership and still could not allow the special permissions. so i tried on an XP machine thinking it wouldnt work because it was an XP file but when I tried on the XP machine it told me access to the files was denied, so i went through the steps to take ownership again, which still didnt give me access to the files... Im in despair alot of valuable photos may be lost...1 person needs an answerI do too
